Recommendations for the next steps based on the results of the project:
INDEX REGISTRY AND MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT
Index registry tested only with eCMR (CMR data set). Still digitalization and European Union eFTI regulation connected with all modes of transport (truck, ship, train, plane). We recommend expanding the Index Registry, the conception of the index, and the functionality to all modes of transport.
STANDARDIZATION OF DATA SETS
The European Commission DTLF initiative guideline that the UN/CEFACT Multimodal Transport Reference Data Model (UN/CEFACT MMT-RDM) will be the main standard in all modes of transport.

By eFTI regulation implementing timeline in February 2023 will come out Implemented and Delegated Acts that the member states authorities must start to support this standard.
From the DINNOCAP project came out that many companies and government institutions don’t know how to implement the standard with their IT systems.
We recommend organizing 3-4 technical workshops or seminars in the year 2022 and giving a technical overview of the UN/CEFACT MMT-RDM standard.
