How did it go?
The international conference Digital Transformation of the Engineering Industries in the Baltic Sea region took place on November 30 in Riga in the framework of the biggest industrial fair in the Baltic Sea Region Tech Industry 2018.
Diginno BSR Innovation conference gathered 87 participants from 6 Baltic and Nordic countries – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Finland, and Sweden.
Experts from BSR countries discussed the current status and trends of the digitization in the engineering industry sector in the Baltic Sea Region. In the second session, speakers introduced the latest technologies for industry digitalization, automation, and optimization.
The event was organized by the Latvian Information and communication technology association (LIKTA), Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia (MASOC) with financial support by “#R050 DIGINNO of Interreg Baltic Sea Region” (DIGINNO) project. The conference was supported by Ministry of Economics of Latvia, Riga City Council and Mechanical Engineering Competence Centre Project.

This Industry 4.0 Innovation event is organized by LIKTA, MASOC (Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia), Ministry of Economics of Latvia and Riga City Council.
The first part of the Conference will analyze the current status and trends of the digitization in the engineering industry sector in the Baltic Sea Region.
In the second part experts from BSR countries will discuss the latest technologies for industry digitalization, automation, and optimization.
The working languages of the conference will be English and Latvian. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
